North West Highland Geopark The whole of Assynt is part of Scotland's first European Geopark. This UNESCO backed award confirms the importance of the regions geology to the history and culture of the area. Inchnadamph is surrounded by limestone - and local caves are very popular with specialist cavers. Inchnadamph has a long association with professional geologists who studied the area over 100years ago - and student groups are often found tapping away at the rocks today.
